About bri
Hello! My name is Bridgette, founder of bri!
I come from a small town in the Freestate, South Africa and always had drive to start something to make people feel happy. bri is made for you, to motivate you, fill you with self-love, kindness and to make you feel free to be you.
The name originates from Bridgette, which according to Celtic mythology means ‘exalted one’. Now, there is quite a lot of definitions on this word but only a few that truly describe bri. The two highlighted definitions for me were: “a person greatly admired” and “feeling happy”.
I want you to feel admired not only by others, but by yourself. Feeling happy when wearing my collection. To love yourself unconditionally and feel good in your own skin.
“Remember why you started”
My life has been such a journey. I think 7 year old me would probably think: “How did you do it?” Yet, still current me thinks: “How did you do it?” (Yes, as you do, I also sometimes have to stop in the moment and be present with myself to realize how far I have come). We don’t give ourselves the ‘good job’ or ‘you actually did it!’ when it is due.
Life is absolutely extraordinary with the way it teaches you, and shows you how much you are actually capable of. After many fails, “try again’s”, “do it over’s”, many “its impossible’s”, you managed to do it anyway. I can truly say ‘You are amazing!’, and Yes, I am referring to you too!
We all have our daily challenges, but we manage to overcome it anyway. How powerful is that? You are gifted, you are strong, courageous, talented, loved, capable, enough.
It is really important to remember where, and why you started, because only then will you realize how far you have come.
Be kind to yourself, love yourself for who you are — because truly, there is no one like you.
No one knows you better than yourself.
With that being said; bri is designed to do just that. To admire who you are, appreciate how far you have come and to love yourself unconditionally.
To be bold
To be rare
To be you
because honestly, why would you want to be anyone else?
